December 1
Over the years while raising children, problems have arisen that had no immediate solution. Thinking about it, these issues were not exclusive to kids! As each problem got worse and I got more and more frustrated, my answer was only found after I gave my problem to God. What was needed at the time was for me to stop fretting about the problem. For example, how does a mother keep her children from constantly fighting when she has tried everything in all the child rearing books!!! After reaching this point, the only thing to do was to get out the "God's Jar"! It is just a plain clear jar with a screw on top. Glued onto the cover is a little church and on the rim is painted, "Linda's God's Jar". This is where my seemingly unsolvable problems go. Then I wait. Once the problem is wrapped up in a colorful piece of tissue paper, I let go and give whatever is weighing me down to God's grace to do whatever He wills. Months later after completely forgetting what I had written down and put in the jar, I would open it more or less out of curiosity. God has always provided solutions as I "wait" for the answer. Finally when the tissue paper is opened to reveal the problem, it miraculously is no longer a problem. Sometime while "waiting" the problem was solved??!! Huh, haven't checked my jar recently..... this problem was a big one! Maybe I need to "wait" a little longer. Thank you God for always being here with me while I WAIT.
