We joined St. Paul’s when I was pregnant with Hannah. We wanted to raise our children in a church that combined the traditions of the religions in which we were raised (Catholic and Presbyterian). The parishioners were so welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. We knew at once that we had found our new church.
Over time, we learned more about the ministries at St. Paul’s and were encouraged to join. Since joining St. Paul’s about 10 years ago, I have been involved in several ministries including the Flower Committee, Usher, Christian Formation and the Whoopie Pie Committee. I believe I have met God in the dedicated people that serve these ministries. I appreciate each of these ministries for the different groups of people that I have gotten to know and the fun we’ve had together. I am committed to these ministries for different reasons:

I appreciate each of these ministries for the different groups of people that I have gotten to know and the fun we’ve had together. I am committed to these ministries for different reasons:
- Arranging flowers provides me with an hour to myself to be quiet and creative,
- Ushering provides an opportunity to welcome others as I was welcomed all those years ago,
- Watching the Godly Play children “wonder” about God reminds me to stop and “wonder” too,
- Baking and selling whoopie pies allows me to contribute “treasure” to support St. Paul’s programs and outreach.
