What draws a planet toward a star, an object toward the earth, is gravity. Gravity can be measured. It can be gauged in terms of pressure. It can crush and its absence will allow an object to float forever. It helps to align the stars and it can seemingly cause those stars to fall from the night sky. Its impact is observable. It is wholly, utterly, unseen.
My faith draws me toward a people, I am but an object hurtling toward my God. My faith cannot be measured. It cannot be compared against another person’s faith. Faith sometimes weighs heavily upon me, as it will never answer all of the questions or solve all of the problems, but it aligns the heavens around me as if to present a solution for all things. My faith is observable in my actions. Yet faith cannot truly be defined.
It is wholly and utterly, a mystery.
